New York always feels crazy, it’s way more busy than any other city I have ever visited and every street has its own theme. The people look worn down and so done with everything, it really makes for a unique experience as a visitor.

Little Italy in New York

We stayed in a tiny hotel in the area of Little Italy and we were in the mood for Thai food. New York does do one thing really well and that is offering really tasty and authentic food. Probably due to such a diverse community with people from all over the world.

Today was the first time my girlfriend has flown, so she was pretty exhausted and we looked for a place close by. Where we found this Thai restaurant.

Thai food just after arriving in New York

The appetizer took almost 45 minutes to arrive and we hesitated to order the entrée or visit another restaurant. We decided to stick around and we’re glad we did, the noodles were thick and very flavorful together with the chicken and all the spices. About one hour into visiting the restaurant there was also a loud scream at an intersection nearby. Closely followed by a loud siren emitting ambulance arriving and police cars. The red and blue flashing lights really completed the setting of New York and we’re excited to see what the next days will bring.
